Abstract

PT. XYZ has 10 years of experience in producing mining laboratory equipment. The production process is carried out manually or only relies on human labor. So, in the production process, product quality inconsistencies often occur, which causes repetitive production processes, inefficient use of raw materials, and overlapping production schedules. In the end, these errors often disrupt business processes which impact the company's reputation with consumers and cause material losses. Therefore, this research will discuss the development of a smart manufacturing system concept by taking samples of Jaw Crusher products, namely tools used to crush various types of mining rock up to 3 mm in size. This smart system concept will focus on the two production processes of cutting and drilling. Modeling the implementation of smart manufacturing system technology is carried out by combining the results of value chain analysis and SWOT analysis. The results of this research are cutting and drilling modules in the Jaw Crusher production process, as well as analysis results that can be used as consideration for PT. XYZ in implementing a smart manufacturing system to create a more efficient production process.
